A very successful event where most parents in every class were able to talk with their children's class teachers. We hope you found this beneficial and a great indicator of how their learning is progessing.
We welcomed over 70 mum's, aunt's and grandma's into school to join their children in the classroom learning and having fun! Cakes and refreshments were then provided for everyone by the Friends Of Ashbeach team!
Thank you so much for coming into school - it was lovely to see you!
All pupils and staff walked to the Ramsey St Mary's church for our annual Christingle service and was attended by many parents and grandparents who joined us in church. The service was delivered by Rev Iain Osborne and was as beautiful and memorable as ever.
Earthwatch came to school and started a fantastic project to plant a tiny forest on our field. Children from each class had 100's of trees to plant in the designated area by the side of the common entrance. The trees are monitored and measured to see how they grow and produce a tiny forest for the children to explore. There is a little space for a seat to sit and enjoy the quiet, peaceful sounds of the leaves and the animals that will gather in amongst them. We can't wait to see how it grows!!!!
Ashbeach School is delighted to introduce our new Head Teacher Mrs Danielle Smith who is taking over in September. She is passionate about reading and loves spending time with her family and Jake, her dog.
We send our fondest best wishes and lots of luck to our head of the past 9 years as she moves onto Christian pastures new. Mrs Hayley Challinor will be missed by students and staff alike as we have become so familiar with her caring ways and infectious laugh. Parents of many generations of our children have made many fond memories alongside her and their children have developed skills that will stay with them always. Our children will especially miss cookie, our resident therapy dog, who was always such a wonderful asset to have near by to help calm and soothe away tears and restore happiness with a single bark!
We wish them both much happiness in the future.
