  • Science Week

    Mon 17 Mar 2014

This week is national science week and we will be celebrating with lots of exciting science work!  On Monday we had a visit from some engineers from Mott Macdonald who talked to the children about what it is like to work as an engineer.  Then they worked with each class on an activity.  Hedgehogs, Badgers, Racoons and Squirrels were building bridges, whilst Kestrel class were learning about hydropower.  In the afternoons this week the children will be working on small group science projects, and the group with the best project in each class will win a trip to the Sedgwick Museum in Cambridge so they can take part in some more hands on science fun!

  • World Book Day

    Thu 06 Mar 2014
It was lovely to see so many of the children dressed in their various costumes to mark World Book Day today. Once again parents and carers have worked hard on a range of exciting and attractive costumes. One of the activities arranged was paired reading sessions where children were mixed between different classes in order to spend time reading together. There was a great buzz around the school as the children really enjoyed this shared reading time together. We were joined in the afternoon by some parents who read extracts from a book of their choice to a group of children.
